Barbara-Ann Britten, M.D. has over 12 years of experience as Board Certified Internal Medicine Physician. Prior to joining Naples Health Care Associates, Dr. Britten was a hospitalist here in Naples working at NCH Healthcare System.
Before moving to the Naples area, Dr. Britten was the Director of the Hospitalist Program for the Hackettstown Regional Medical Center in Hackettstown, New Jersey where she was responsible not only for managing the program but caring for patients in intensive care and cardiac units. She also had her own Internal Medicine practice in Hackettstown for six years before becoming a hospitalist. During her years of association with HRMC, she was a member of the Medical Executive Board and Chairwoman of the Credentialing Committee. She was Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, and continues that relationship.
Dr. Britten completed her medical training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark, New Jersey, her Masters of Science from Seton Hall University, South Orange, New Jersey and her undergraduate degree from Rutgers University in Newark, New Jersey. Dr. Britten is certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists and is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Internal Medicine, the Society of Hospital Medicine and the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. She has received multiple awards for her excellence in patient care, including the COMPASS Award in 2008. This award recognized her professionalism, her compassion and the great team environment she helped create working with other physicians and nurses in caring for patients and their families at NCH.
Dr. Britten has privileges at the NCH Healthcare System and Physicians Regional Hospital-Collier and Pine Ridge campuses.
